What is TEF?

Test d’Evaluation de Français is an assessment which assesses the candidate’s knowledge and understanding of the French Language. TEF uses a 7-level scale is used to assess the candidate’s language proficiency.

Why TEF?

The TEF language proficiency assessment confirms the candidate’s competency in French which is valid for all academic and professional purposes. This assessment is mandatory for undertaking studies in France, while being a well-recognized proficiency test.

What are the tests? ; Oral comprehension: 40 min – 60 questions; Written comprehension: 60 min – 50 questions; Oral expression: 15 min – 2 topics to cover.
